AI Policy

Generative Artificial Intelligence Policy

Science Education and Learning Journal (SCEDULE) recognizes the increasing use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in scholarly work and requires transparency and accountability regarding their use.

Authorship

Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, originality, or ethical compliance of a scholarly work.

Author Responsibility

Authors remain fully responsible for all content submitted to the journal, including content produced or modified with the assistance of generative AI tools.

Disclosure

When generative AI has been used in a manner that materially contributes to manuscript preparation, analysis, or other substantive scholarly activities, authors should transparently disclose its use in the manuscript, including the tool used and the purpose for which it was used.

Confidentiality

Editors and reviewers must protect confidential manuscript information and should not upload unpublished manuscripts or confidential peer-review material to external generative AI systems where confidentiality, privacy, or data protection cannot be assured.
