Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy

Jurnal Ilmiah Mappadising (JIM) recognizes the importance of preserving the scholarly record and maintaining access to published research over time.

The journal's preservation objectives include maintaining article metadata, publication files, bibliographic information, and links between articles and any associated corrections, expressions of concern, or retraction notices.

Publication Archives

The official journal platform serves as the primary access point for published articles and available issues. Historical content recovered from the previous platform is restored with its original publication details, including author names, article titles, volume and issue numbers, publication dates, and assigned DOI identifiers.

Recovery of historical archives is ongoing. The availability of an issue or article on the current platform should not be interpreted as confirmation that the complete historical archive has been recovered.

Preservation and Recovery

The journal aims to maintain recoverable copies of publication files and essential metadata to support continuity following technical failures or security incidents. Operational backups support recovery but are distinct from independent, long-term digital preservation services.

Participation in an external preservation service will be stated on this page only after it has been verified. The journal does not claim preservation coverage by a particular service solely because it uses the Open Journal Systems platform.

Author Self-Archiving

Authors may deposit versions of their work in institutional or subject repositories to the extent permitted by the copyright and licensing conditions applicable to those versions. Deposits must clearly identify whether the file is a preprint, an accepted manuscript, or the published version.

When depositing the published version, authors should include the full article citation, its DOI where assigned, and a link to the official JIM publication. Deposited copies must retain applicable copyright and license notices.

Authors should ensure that repository deposits do not disclose confidential participant information or material for which they lack redistribution rights. Where an article has been corrected or retracted, the repository record should link to the relevant editorial notice.

Copyright and Licensing

Self-archiving and redistribution must comply with the terms stated on the article and the journal's Copyright and License Policy. Authors may contact the editorial office if the permitted version or applicable conditions are unclear.
