Focus and Scope

Jurnal Ilmiah Agrotani (AGROTANI) publishes original research in agriculture and related fields. The journal aims to advance scientific knowledge and support improvements in production systems, agricultural enterprises, and natural resource management.

AGROTANI welcomes experimental, observational, qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research appropriate to the subject being investigated. Manuscripts must address a clearly defined research problem, apply sound methods, and demonstrate a scientific or practical contribution within the journal's scope.

Scope

  1. Agrotechnology: Agronomy, crop cultivation, soil fertility, plant nutrition, and the management of agricultural production systems.
  2. Agribusiness: Farm management, agricultural economics, marketing, value chains, technology adoption, and agricultural enterprise development.
  3. Agricultural Technology: Agricultural engineering, mechanization, irrigation technologies, postharvest handling, processing, and technologies that improve production or resource efficiency.
  4. Plant Protection: Plant pests, diseases, weeds, biological control, and integrated approaches to maintaining crop health.
  5. Fisheries: Aquaculture, fisheries production, aquatic resource management, and technologies relevant to fisheries systems.
  6. Animal Science: Livestock production, animal nutrition, feed resources, breeding, and livestock management.
  7. Plantation Crops: Cultivation, productivity, crop management, and production systems involving plantation commodities.
  8. Forestry: Silviculture, forest management, agroforestry, and the conservation and use of forest resources.

Interdisciplinary Contributions

Interdisciplinary studies are considered when they demonstrate a clear contribution to one or more of the fields listed above. Studies involving digital technologies, environmental management, or socioeconomic issues must explain their relevance to agricultural or related production systems, enterprises, or resources.

Research Quality and Relevance

Manuscripts should describe the study setting, research design, sampling or experimental procedures, measurements, and analysis in sufficient detail to allow readers to assess the findings. Conclusions must be supported by the results and acknowledge the study's limitations.

Studies conducted in a specific locality should explain the significance of their findings for the relevant scientific field or practice. A local study setting alone does not establish a scientific contribution.

Authors should consult the Author Guidelines before submitting through the online submission system.
